Typescapes: Type Specimen
It all began with Architecture...
Typescapes is a series of typographic explorations inspired by architectural landscapes, plans, elevations, grids, light, and shadow. Grounded in architecture, each study has been developed into a typeface that embodies the formal qualities of a specific building. This Type Specimen was distributed at the exhibition and includes all original typeface designs and typography created at the Maryland Institute College of Art for my MFA Thesis in Graphic Design. Mentors: Ellen Lupton, Jennifer Cole Phillips, and Jason Mathews Gottlieb.
